Weekend is Over?

Okay, the weekend is over. My dog is coming down off of his doggy downers. Hopefully he will eat somthing now and not look at me like he hates me.

We spent Friday afternoon at my SIL house. It was nice for a while. We swam in her pool, it was a bit cool, she keeps hers at about 85 degrees, while I prefer 90 or more. Played some water volleyball. Then I ripped the toenail off of my big toe, in the pool. I was even sober. (that is probably the problem)

After Not A Grampy wrapped it up like a mummy I was relegated to sitting beside the pool listening to family stories about past holidays.

Did I mention I have been fighting a cold all last week? You know, just the runny nose and annoying cough? We came home early Friday to be here with the dogs who can't stand loud noises, in time for the neighborhood firework shows. Yes, plural. Why should I go somewhere with lots of crowds, pay money when I can stand in my backyard and watch the rednecks blow things up? So that's what we did. Along with a dog in my lap cowering from the noise. At least he wasn't barking and whining as he usually does.

Saturday we hosted the Coke Zero NASCAR Party. Had friends over, watched the race, ate good food, swam in the pool, coughed and hacked. Lost a lung later Saturday/Sunday morning. But, heck I still have one, right?

Sunday was the planned crash day. Which we did. Put a roast in the crock pot, watched 10,000 BC on DVD. Had two glasses of wine, ate dinner and fell asleep at 7pm. Woke up at 9pm went to bed. Coughed up another lung all night long. Moved to the recliner so Not A Grampy would get some sleep.

Now, I am sitting at home today, taking my vacation day that was planned too sick to even sit by the pool.

If anyone finds my lungs somewhere could you send them back to me??? I think I may need one at least sometime today.

I'm Not Here

I'm in Atlanta! (well I will be later today...right now I am at my computer in the kitchen when I should be finishing up the packing)

Woo Hoo!! Going away for a few days. Yup, going to visit some friends. I won't be on the computer, no reading blogs (sob), no checking email (god, can you imagine how full my inbox will be??) no Facebook.

Wait, wait a minute no Facebook??!! EEEKKK...do you have any idea what will happen to my cars in Parking Wars??? My God....I am going to have all kinds of violations...Plus, everyone will be parking on my street and earning more money...

I am appealing to my Parking Wars friends...DutchBitch, Shelli, Stacie and Blonde Blogger, please take pity on me and my little cars. They are not parked illegally on purpose. They will be moved as soon as I get home (or find a computer).

Meanwhile, everyone have a wonderful holiday weekend and don't start any internet drama without me.

Saturday Fun?

Okay, it is the weekend. Supposed to be time for fun, sun and relaxation. What does Hubby decide to do....retile the top of the tiki bar! Sheesh, how am I supposed to lay by the pool, with a nice book, glass of wine and relax? All that racket! I am really going to have to work on his relaxation technique. Next thing you know he is going to want me to paint or something!!
