Take a Moment

Take a couple of minutes today, tomorrow and the next day to send some prayers to Southern California.

Wildfires are the worst nightmare of most people living in the West Coast of the United States. They are so unpredictable, dependent upon fuel, wind, the whim of nature. It sometimes seems, like now that Mother Nature is getting back at us.

While we send prayers out to those families and individuals who have lost everything, or are being threatened with the loss of their entire worldly goods, please do not forget to send a prayer to those who are also putting their lives on the line...the firefighters!

Being raised in Washington State I am very familiar with the amazing jobs these brave individuals do. I have seen areas burned black and a green circle around a home where the wildfire fighters saved the house. I have also seen way too many times when the firefighters have been killed. Whether it was the fault of the firefighters or training issues, when they hit close to home, people you know, it becomes all the more personal.

So please, say a prayer for the people in Southern California, and don't forget the firefighters who are risking their lives.

I'm praying too--for the friends I have there that I can't get a hold of and for all the firefighters and EMS.

Well, you're in FL, and they're not exactly small potatoes here. Were you here in '98? Wow, that was some crazy shit.

I don't know anyone there...but still in my prayers. That's just craziness. I really think the world is coming to an end. One side of the country we get way too much water...the other side is catching fire. It's insane!!

Lots of prayers to all!

wow. I went and read the reports. They were very young. How horrible. Thats what I hate the most about seeing Wenatchee, looking at what the fires have left behind..
