They Like Me...

They Really Like Me...

Or they are completely off the wall.

I've been selected for jury duty.

I've had to sit in front of the defendant and his attorney. During jury selection she focused on me. I'm in the front row withh 5 other people.

The Prosecution raises an objection during one of the Defence questions to the potential jurors. (which I am thrilled about because I had no real clue what she was asking) She did not repeat the question.

Questions are asked, stories are told.

24 people are in the room. One is excused because she claims she doesn't understand English (even though she has lived here 4 years and has a Driver's License), one is excused because his hearing aid doesn't work at a distance, one is excused because she is married to a Sheriff Officer who is friends with a witness (more on that later).

They need a jury of 6, down to 21.

After a brief break....first name called....

Even after Defense...

Never mind, much, much more later

I cannot believe I have been seated on this cases

They are also generally not fond of lots of lawyers in a family. It helps that half of my immediate family are lawyers.

Hope the trial doesn't last too long.
