Okay, all you people living in the cold, harsh North, I have knews for you!!
The Great Sock Exchange, 2007 is here!! This is a easy and fun way to get new, cool, warm socks for the price of one pair of socks and postage!
Dear Friend:
This is a funky sock exchange. Please send a unique pair of ladies socks to the person whose name is listed as #1 Below. Then move my name to the the #1 position and put your name in the #2 position. Only your name and my name should appear on the list when you send it out.
Please fill out the form and send it to six (6) friends.
This is not a chain letter. It is just for fun. If you cannot do this within five (5) days, please let me know so it will be fair to those participating. A manila envelope will hold the socks nicely. You should receive 36 pairs of socks for the price of one. It is fun to see the different places your socks come from, seldom does anyone drop out because we can all use funky socks to boost our outfits.
The turnaround is very fast because there are only 2 names on the list. You should be receiving your funky socks in about 2 weeks.
Have some fun…but remember to contact me, if you don’t want to participate.
Thanks.
#1 Sheila D
#2 Trish K
I will email you the addresses if you’re interested in doing this.
Basically, you buy one pair of socks. You mail the pair to Sheila D (whose address I will provide to you). You find six other people who want to participate in the GSE2007.
When you copy and paste the letter in blockquotes above, you erase Sheila's name, move my name to #1 and add yours as #2. Then, the six people you’ve recruited will mail me a pair of socks.
They will, in turn, remove my name from the list, move you to #1 and put their name as #2.
Got it? Ask me a question, I got an answer.
Let me know if the following want to participate
1. Tug do you want socks?
2. Shelli-how is the weather there?
3. Kayli-I know you need some new socks
4. Sharpie? Do you want to play?
5.
6.
Okay, anyone else want to come out and play. By, the way, if you don't want to participate, that's fine, I already bought some really cute fuzzy socks for Tracey. Gotta get them in the mail, though!

Happy Labor Day
In the United States a great majority of people are enjoying today off.
In some parts of the country, this is the last day of summer fun before children start back to school.
The last day that women are supposed to wear any white.
There will be picnics, cookouts, family gatherings. The last long weekend holiday of the summer season.
The Labor Day holiday is 125 years old! It grew out of a celebration and parade in honor of the working class by the Knights of Labor in 1882 in New York. In 1884, the Knights held a large parade in New York City celebrating the working class. The parade was held on the first Monday in September. The Knights passed a resolution to hold all future parades on the same day, designated by them as Labor Day.
Now that you have had your history lesson for the day, go forth, burn those hotdogs, enjoy the hampburgers and enjoy the last holiday of the summer!!

Another Of My Angels (the little one)
This is my son and his son, our oldest grandson, known here at GK #1 (he is 4). My son is 24 years old, separated from his son's mother, dating another young lady who is 5 months pregnant.
Aren't they both cute...Err..sorry they are boys ..umm sorry men..aren't they handsome...hmmm?? Don't you just love GK #1's shirt. Yup, he does like his Nascar!
Unfortunately, son and his wife (GK#1's mom) are separated. That is son's GF coming out the screen enclosure in the background of the picture. She is pregnant also, due in November. But don't worry, she gets along really well with DIL, yup they have all become the best of friends. Only in the South I guess!
Am I missing something?
