Christmas Suprises

As promised, here are some pictures of Christmas morning. None yet of the madness that was the opening of presents, but a very special visitor did stop by to visit! Special thanks to my daughter for getting these uploaded so I could steal them!! Stop by and visit her and take a look at the great turkey she fixed!

This is GK#1 after he thanked Santa for his new bike!

GK#2 here wasn't real thrilled with having to stop playing with his new toys!

I know, more of my grandkid...but they are so cute!!

Awww, the boy loves his basket protector..look he even goes for rides in it!! Longaberger baskets and protectors..gotta love em!

I can't believe how big he is getting.

GK#2's adoption was finalized in
March, 2007. My daughter and SIL went through hell to get it completed.

They met the birth mother through a friend, when she was 4 months pregnant. At that time, she was in the process of considering an adoption agency for her baby. She knew she couldn't care for the child, she was 19 years old, homeless, no family support.

She met my daughter and SIL and decided that she wanted them to adopt her baby. They had been trying for some time to have a baby. First Daughter had a molar pregnancy, not fun. We had to do a lot of Internet searching to find out what that was. (the Dr was no help). Her next pregnancy a year later ended up being tubal and which exploded and she almost died.

So, when this angel dropped into their lives we were all thrilled. Attorneys, psychologists for birth mother, everything. Birth mother ended up being induced three weeks early. The kids still hadn't had their home study completed. Daughter and SIL were at the birth, as were some "friends" of the birth mother. Home study gets completed day after birth.

Now this is where things got a little sticky. The hospital knew this was an adoption. They knew daughter was the adoptive mother. The only reason GK #2 was in the room with the birth mother was because she had requested it and the kids agreed. The hospital while daughter is at the home study encouraged birth mother to breast feed. Needless to say, birth mother changes her mind. Her "friends" tell her that they will help her, she can live with them..etc.

6 weeks later birth mother shows up at daughters house and tells daughter and SIL that she changed her mind again. The next day all parties go to attorney, birth mother turns GK #2 over to daughter and SIL. That day was my daughters birthday.

It did take 9 more months to complete the adoption. Everything had to be done all over again. You know, there are more inspections, background checks, health checks, home studies done, yet any yahoo can get pregnant.

Birth mother gave birth 2 months ago to a baby girl. I hope she can take care of this one.

I really have no ill will towards birth mother. In the end she did the right thing and gave us a beautiful, grandchild. For that I will always be grateful. I can never forgive her for the hell she put my daughter and SIL through the night she sent a text message saying she changed her mind.

For those of you out there tired of me talking about my grandkids...

Don't tell me that Not A Grampy doesn't love this dog!

He gave up his pillow... This is thrown in because everything above was getting really heavy...but this is the new furniture with dog and pillow.

Maybe the next post will be about all the different cars Not A Grampy has had in the last two years...
Stay tuned, I have pictures of them also!!

and because I am a whore for Mr. Fab..Colleen still has a sweet ass

Here are three of the five favorite males in my life. This is GK #1 in the spa, my favorite SIL with GK #2...aren't they cute? Yes, I know GK #2 is chewing on the pool thermometer...he has a molar coming in, give him a break...

And here is the Tiki Bar that Not A Grampy was working on.

This is the tiling job he did. Nice, huh? Yes, the race is on and that is my wine in a pool side appropriate glass...

And by the way, Colleen has a sweet ass.

Another Of My Angels (the little one)

This is my son and his son, our oldest grandson, known here at GK #1 (he is 4). My son is 24 years old, separated from his son's mother, dating another young lady who is 5 months pregnant.

Aren't they both cute...Err..sorry they are boys ..umm sorry men..aren't they handsome...hmmm?? Don't you just love GK #1's shirt. Yup, he does like his Nascar!

Unfortunately, son and his wife (GK#1's mom) are separated. That is son's GF coming out the screen enclosure in the background of the picture. She is pregnant also, due in November. But don't worry, she gets along really well with DIL, yup they have all become the best of friends. Only in the South I guess!

Am I missing something?

My Grandchildren (I'm still not a Granny)

I realize the blog name here may confuse a few people. When my son called me at work 4 years ago to tell me that he and his girlfriend would be presenting his parents with a grandchild in a few months, my first thought was, sh*t, I am too young for this. Later that evening when they came over they wanted to know what I wanted to be called, NaNa, gammy, granny...I'm like no way, I am either Grandma or nothing! (I know it is kind of sick by for me Grandma sounds younger)

GK#1 is 4 years old now, he doesn't speak much. He can say daddy, mama, that is about it. He has developed his own sign language. GK #1 hears fine, he has been diagnosed with Apraxia. I am not going into the whole mess with what it is, if you really want to know you can look it up. Our problem is, our son and DIL have separated. Another post will fill you in on the trials and tribulations with my DIL and her family.

GK#2 is our daughter and SIL's child. He is adopted. It was a private adoption, that was cancelled, then back on. My Daughter and SIL took care of birth mother, attended the birth and were told 1 day after the birth that birth mother changed her mind. What a hell night at my house. I have never seen my SIL so distraught. Even when daughter had the tubal pregnancy and we almost lost her, he sort of held it together. Not a Grampy had to pick him up from the street when the birth mother sent a text message that she had changed her mind.

6 weeks later, on June 6, 2006 they get a phone call from the birth mother, she is changing her mind again. Note: June 6 is my daughter's birthday. After contacting their attorney again, on June 6 at 7pm GK #2 was at their house. Adoption was finalized in March 2007. Birth Mother is still involved in their lives. Much to my dismay, but that is part of the agreement. Now that she has had another child, a girl, that may change.

So now, may I present the pride and joy of our lives..(well besides the new boobs and the dog!!!)

It is going to kill me to not be able to hug and kiss and hold these guys for a while!!
