Remembrance

Today is December 7, for those of you who are just crawling out of bed and have not looked at the calendar yet.

Today is the 66th Anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.

My mother still talks to me about what that Sunday morning was like in Seattle, when word reached them over their radio of the attack. She says she had never seen a city turned so still and quiet so fast. That is until September 11.

One of her most vivid memories of that day and the years following are the black outs. At night time you could not have one single light showing through your windows. They had community people who would walk the streets looking for light leaking through the windows. As a child I really had no clue what that was all about. Why they had to keep all the light inside.

Right now, in Pearl Harbor,Hawaii the remains of 1, 177 USS Arizona seamen rest. Where their ship sunk to the bottom of the harbor. Many of them remained alive for days, even weeks after the ship sunk.

So as we continue on our day, readying ourselves for Christmas, this weekend, the next work week, please take a few minutes at 8:30 am Pacific Time to say a quick prayer, remembrance, thought for all of our men and women who are serving in the military and protecting our rights. While we argue over whether it is a Christmas Tree or a Holiday Season, remember who has given us the right to be able to argue over these details....men and women who have died protecting our rights and the rights of others.

I am the spouse of a retired military person..niece of a Pearl Harbor attack survivor...daughter of a Korean War Veteran (yeah, it was a war..people died...atrocities occurred...don't get me started, it was still a war), cousin of a Vietnam War Veteran, and I am the cousin, friend, aunt, of our current war participants (Iraq and Afghanistan). I have a lot of family and friends serving all over the damn place.

I can handle the "I am a the second son of the third wife" or "wife of the son of the deposed rightful ruler" asking to rescue the millions...

But when you bring our military into this scam.

When you use the blood of our children to try and make money..scam people..use guilt and American pride..

I will do all in my power to nail you to the whatever piece of shit wood you belive in. Go to Hell.

I know people who have the phone number of Satan and they are not afraid to use it!!!
