Tomorrow is Thanksgiving.
I will get up in the morning, put on the coffee, pull out the Baileys (for my coffee, of course) turn on the tv and watch the Macy's Day Parade.
Later I will get my arse off the couch and put together the vegetable dishes I am responsible for cooking.
About 1:30 pm we will head out the door to a cousins house to celebrate this day. We will be with Not a Grampy's family, sisters, cousins, their children.
We will chat and toast, eat and be merry. We will have a wonderful time and then leave to come home.
Thanksgiving will then be over. Which means one thing!
Christmas!! Yeah! Christmas!!
Friday, I can start putting up all the Christmas decorations (after I go shopping at 4am of course)
So! Happy Thanksgiving and look out here comes CHRISTMAS!!

Holiday
Today is a holiday for some here in the good ole US of A.
President's Day.
City, County and State governments are closed. Banks are closed. Some private businesses close, some stay open. It is one of those Holidays where it is a choice whether or not to honor it.
I'm kind of confused over that one. Either it is a recognized holiday and everyone is off, or it isn't. Why have holidays where part of the population gets to celebrate it and part do not? If it is important enough to name a day after it, close down the government, why not have all people celebrate it?
But, just for the record, yes I am off today. Like I mentioned before, some non profits recognize the holiday and give their staff the day off and some do not.
