What do you do when someone you thought was a friend, someone who you really care about and who you thought cared about you, rips out your heart, stomps on it and then turns and walks away?

What do you do when you have known this person for 15 years, shared more with this person than you do your husband, know more about this persons life than anyone else does, and yet she throws it all away?

What do you do when you opened up your life and your home to this person for 18 months, had them living with you, including them in every aspect of your personal, professional and community life and they don't give a shit?

How do you ever get over knowing that someone you thought was a friend was just using you?

How do you ever trust anyone ever again?

That would be really hard. Maybe there are circumstances of which you are not aware.

Damn...I've got nothing to help here...sorry. I hope you are able to learn more and get it figured out.

Chalk one up to experience. Been there.

Have a really smooth, fruity glass of wine and toast endings and beginnings.

Just don't close your eyes and put up big walls or you might suffer missing a friendship in the future.

I think this has happened to all of us at one time or another. From a - cough - older granny, time will heal. Prayer helps a lot! You will find there is something else wrong and you are not to blame. . . mrt

I don't know. I've had people stomp on me who I've known for less time and it's been very hard to get past the pain. I still get some of the bitches doing drive by's on my blog (I used to be in an online community with them - I left three years ago).

When you discover the answer, let me know.

Oh I am so, so sorry. :( I wish I had the answers. I guess you have to decide if someone is worth the risk. Because you do take a risk when you decide to trust. But if you never take that risk, you won't live life to the fullest. I'm sending you huge hugs across the net ((((((HUGS)))))

Oh honey.

Actually, now that I think about it, I have been there.

And time does heal.

It reflects a whole lot more on them than it does at all on you.

Trusting is a good thing, remember that. Not to trust would not at all be who you are.
