He Survived

Not a Grampy did a wonderful job at the Richard Petty Driving Experience at Daytona International Speedway.

He did not hit the wall.

He did not cut down a tire.

He brought back his #83 Redbull car in wonderful condition. (that is something all drivers must do. Recognize their sponsor and use the number and main sponsors name in all conversations)

Here is Not A Grampy meeting with one of his fans, GK #2. Aren't they cute! Don't you just love the uniform Not a Grampy is wearing???

Then we have the requisit photo on front of the car. A must for all Nascar drivers. This is Not a Grampy showing that he can support any driver, even Jr.

After the required Driver's meeting, National Anthem, flyover (actually I just hummed the National Anthem and a pigeon flew over the top of us.) It was time to get in your cars and "start the engine".

Notice the intense concentration!
On the track! Look at him flying through the front straightaway!!! 136 miles per hour!! Woo Hoo!!

And look, afterwards! Look how excited and happy he is.
Wait, is that excitement? Or just plain terror???
Only Not a Grampy knows for sure!

nanna-I asked for the Ride Along for Christmas. He better get it for me!

Sheila-I should post the close up I did of his face after the ride. He looks completely stunned.

blue-I wouldn't mind doing the Ride Along, but there is no way I would drive.

Wouldn't it have been cooler to hit the wall? That's what I'd do...

So very cool! My hubby would love that! He's not a nascar fan but loves to drive way too fast!

catscratch-he was really quiet for about an hour afterwards. Then he started talking about how much he enjoyed it.

avitable-it was really hot standing around for 3 hours until he got to drive.

mr. fab-but then the life insurance wouldn't pay out...

lunch lady-driving fast, loud engines...it is a man thing.
