Explorer Crashed on Me!

For the last couple of days I have not been able to access my blog from home. Everytime I put the address in I would be redirected to Ask.com, searching for my blog.

I tried to search for it in Google...it kept asking me if I wanted to search of "hotgranny". I am taking that as a compliment.

I could not get it to come up anywhere. I would even go to some of friends blogs that have me listed in their side bars, and click there...yup right back to Ask.com.

WTF??

So, Not a Grampy downloaded a new browser. Something called Avant. Friend of his who is big into computers and problem solving recommended it. I lost all my RSS feeds though and this new browser does it very strangely. I have actually paste the web address in. I don't think I like it.

Does anyone know if I can cut and paste my blog feeds from the old Explorer browser to Avant?

You're much better off using Firefox, which will import all of your Internet Explorer bookmarks.

It sounds like you have spyware on your computer if it was redirecting like that, as well.

Yeah, um...no idea. sorry. I use Bloglines to keep up to date on everyone...Google Reader is good also. Doesn't solve your problem NOW, but for future maybe?

Get Ad-Aware...it is a free spyware program. Run it like once a week or when you notice things are going all wonky. There are also pay ones, too but Ad Aware does a really good job of cleaning up your computer of spyware and malicious cookies. I've been using it for years.
