Donate for Cancer

Cancer is a killer.

I don't think there is one person out there who can say they have not been touched by cancer.

I truly believe that if you have not personally been diagnosed with some type of cancer, then you have had a family member who has been diagnosed; or you have a co-worker who has been diagnosed; or a friend who has been diagnosed; or you have had a friends family member diagnosed; or you have been in a store and seen one of those neighborhood jars asking for donations for someone fighting cancer.

If we are not personally touched, then we know someone who is.

Peetswea is offering to donate $2 for each comment on her blog to the Lance Armstrong Foundations fight against cancer. The Foundation is looking to "make it clear to the next commander-in-chief that Americans want answers in the fight against cancer." If you get a few seconds, stop by and sign the petition - in my opinion, it's an issue that needs to be kept in the forefront of the next election.

But hurry, she is only doing it through the end of August. And please pass on the post and send your friends over.

Hello Not a Granny! I read your post here about cancer, and, well, at this moment in time cancer is all around my family and friends. Thanks for helping to make others aware.

(and um, thanks for coming over for a visit to my blog the other day!)
